Craniosacral Therapy

Jackie Parks is a Craniosacral Therapist, Reiki Master, and certified yoga teacher. She trained in craniosacral therapy and myofascial unwinding through Dr. Carol Philip's Dynamic Body Balancing training program.

Jackie was introduced to Crainiosacral Therapy (CST) when she was pregnant with her first child and was recovering from a broken kneecap. CST was able to help aid with recovery and let her be as active as she was before the accident. Because of the transformation that happened, she became a big believer in CST and all the benefits that can come of it.

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

It’s a gentle, hands-on method of bodywork that focuses on releasing tension in the soft tissues surrounding the central nervous system—especially the skull (cranium), spine, and sacrum (the base of the spine). The idea is that by using light touch, practitioners can help relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.

It’s often used for things like:

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Chronic pain

  • Stress and tension-related disorders

  • TMJ (jaw) issues

  • Sleep problems

  • And even in infants for colic or latch issues
